Four Bucknell Wrestlers Listed in InterMat Preseason Rankings
Four Bucknell wrestlers are listed in the InterMat preseason rankings, released Friday. Seniors David Marble (133 pounds), Andy Rendos (165) and Shane Riccio (174), as well as junior David Thompson (184), are listed among the best in the nation in their respective weight classes.
Bucknell Wrestling’s Andy Rendos Selected to Participate in NWCA All-Star Classic
Three-time NCAA qualifier and 2009 All-American Andy Rendos has been invited to next month’s National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) All-Star Classic. The senior 165-pounder on the Bucknell wrestling team will compete in the event, which will be held Nov. 22 in Titan Gym in Fullerton, Calif.
Bucknell Wrestling 31st, Five Individuals in WIN Magazine Preseason Rankings
Last year the Bucknell wrestling team sent six individuals to the NCAA Championships, saw Andy Rendos become the program’s first All-American in a decade-and-a-half and finished in a tie for 29th place in the country. With all six NCAA qualifiers returning and a strong senior class, expectations are high for the Bison entering 2009-10.
Tickets for Bucknell-Iowa Wrestling Match Go On Sale Wednesday
Tickets for the most anticipated home wrestling match in Bucknell history will go on sale Wednesday morning. The Bison host 22-time national champion Iowa and EIWA foe Rutgers in Sojka Pavilion on Friday, Nov. 27, and fans can purchase tickets from the Campus Box Office starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
